Parents of students at a Canadian high school are threatening legal action to prevent a shop teacher from continuing to wear size Z prosthetic breasts in class.
Attorney Rishi Bandhu, who has a child at Oakville Trafalgar High School and represents three other parents, issued the warning in a recent to the Halton District School Board in Ontario.
The letter demanded that shop teacher Kayla Lemieux be held to the same dress code standards as the district's students, calling her attire an 'obvious' breach of the district dress code. 
It comes after students were reportedly if they took pictures of the controversial teacher, and a protester who mockingly dressed up as Lemieux at school board meeting was  for life.

In his letter, Bandhu also asked that the school board explicitly state any exceptions to the dress code, and allow parents to discuss the matter at school council hearings.
'In our view, it's just illogical and absurd to suggest that the teachers would be held to a lower standard than the students in terms of their attire,' Bandhu told  in an interview on Wednesday. 
Bandhu acknowledged that 'human rights by their nature are complex' and added that the school board faces 'a very delicate balancing of interests' in weighing Lemieux's rights against the concerns of parents.

'What they're missing is that when it comes to human rights, and particularly gender expression, context is important,' he said.
'The context that they are missing here is that this is a school, and these are children, they are adolescents, and their maturity is still developing,' argued Bandhu.
The Halton District School Board did not immediately respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com on Thursday morning.

Lemieux's appearance in the classroom has drawn increasing controversy in recent months. 
Last month, a source told DailyMail.com that in 2021 Lemieux attended a children's dance recital in Burlington, Ontario and was asked to leave by other parents.
Lemieux sat in the front row watching the children dancing on stage. Eventually, she was confronted by concerned parents and asked to leave as she did not have a child involved in the show. 
The educator began transitioning from male to female in 2021. Lemieux did not respond to requests for comment. 
In October, an activist who dressed up as Lemieux at a school board meeting to protest her presence in the classroom was been banned from the district's properties for life.

Menzies brought with him a petition calling for the school board to be terminated over Lemieux's continued employment. He was eventually removed from the meeting by a police officer.
During his protest, Menzies said that his petition asking for the removal of the board had 16,000 signatures. 
He told the members of the board: 'The Halton District School Board and the Director of Education, Curtis Ennis, should be fired for allowing a female-identifying shop teacher to wear enormous fake breasts that are barely contained by see-through blouses while teaching.'

The district has sent out a warning reminding students that they are not allowed to take pictures of anyone in school unless they get their permission.
School board spokesperson Heather Francey reiterated that the district cannot comment on Human Resources matters.
She added that students must obey the district's 'Responsible Use Procedures for Information and Communications Technology' policy.
'It is routine practice for students to obtain permission of any subject at any time (including other students, staff or any person) before capturing, using and transmitting images or video,' she told the Sun. 'This policy helps guide that standard courtesy across our board.'
